Larking Gowen Partner appointed Chair of AISMA

We’re proud to share that Lizzy Lloyd, Partner in our specialist medical team, has been appointed Chair of the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (AISMA).

Lizzy takes on the role following the AISMA AGM in 2025, where she was elected to lead the Association’s board. Lizzy brings more than 25 years’ experience in medical accountancy and has been closely involved with AISMA throughout her career.

Commenting on her appointment, Lizzy said:
“This is an exciting time to be leading AISMA, which has been an influential force in my own career as a specialist medical accountant. The training, networking and support the Association provides to member firms is exceptional.”

The recent AISMA annual conference marked the launch of AISMA NextGen—a new initiative to support the next generation of medical accountants. Under Lizzy’s leadership, this group will help shape the future of the Association, including the development of the AISMA Academy, a new hub of online training tools designed for those starting out in medical accountancy.

Reflecting on the launch, Lizzy added:
“It was great to see such energy and enthusiasm for the AISMA NextGen initiative at the conference. I’m looking forward to seeing AISMA flourish with the support of my fellow board members and the NextGen group during my time as Chair.”
